Traveling for vacation is very different than living in another country. When you live in another country you will build some roots there and you will need to get properly accustomed to their culture and regulations. As opposed to if you’re traveling for vacation, you will be treated as a tourist as you will stay at a hotel, explore the country briefly and leave.
There are a lot of meaningful reasons for living abroad other than just exploring and trying new foods. These include:
- Expanding your mental horizons
- Become more self-reliant
- Improving your communication skills
- Stepping out of your comfort zone
- Making friends from all over the world
- Gaining a global mindset
- Developing more culture awareness
- Learning a new language
- Learning patience
- Developing a clearer sense of self
There are a lot more benefits to living abroad, but these might be the most important ones. They say that growth can’t happen without a struggle and when you settle in a new country, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow.
